The Future of your Project

We began this weeks lecture by thinking about the future, that being our future and the future of the products we will be making. It was suggested that there is no harm in entering competitions which the products you design such as the Interaction awards, Catalyst, IDI Graduate Design Awards, International Society of Typographic Designers and Student Design Awards. This is something I'm going to consider with my final year project as it could open more opportunities for me in the future.

Having a growth mindset

In order to become a better designer you need to be willing to grow. Throughout my placement year I found that the main way for me to grow was to receive constructive criticism and be open to taking it on board. If I didn't do this I would be static and stay the same. This has prepared me for my final year as I now want to receive as much feedback as possible to improve upon the designs I'm working on.
