When working on a project for a long time you can lose mindset of the problem you are trying to solve and who you’re trying to solve it for. You’re brain becomes fuzzy and you become unaware of the problem that needs to be solved. I decided to refocus my brain through carrying out multiple exercises.

What’s here?

Who is Insurin really for?

Insurin is for all insulin dependant diabetics. However, there are many age ranges here and I think I need to narrow down to one in specific. Type one diabetics are on average diagnosed at 13, type 2 diabetics are diagnosed on average around 40. I can’t design an interface for both of these age groups as they have different mindsets and needs. Therefore, I am going to modify my designs to suit type 1 diabetics. The app will still be for guardians also and type 2 diabetics, but there will be a different section and onboarding process for these.

Stakeholder Map

I created a stakeholder map to think about everyone that could have a role in my project. I used the inner two circles for those most important and worked my way out to those who are interesting to think about.

Problem Statement

I thought about my problem statement so I had a solution to try and work towards.
